Day 1 - 3: Cape Town
The scenically beautiful city of Cape Town rests between the iconic Table Mountain and the rugged coast-line stretching out towards the Cape Peninsular. Spend three nights at Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel, explore the city and it’s surrounds with a city tour including a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain for breath-taking views over the Atlantic Seaboard and Robben Island. Head out on a full day tour to Cape Point seeing the trendy seaside towns, mountain trails and the famous penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 4 - 6: Sabi Sands Private Reserve, Kruger National Park
Slow the pace as you escape the city and head to the pristine wilderness of Kruger National Park, where Africa’s Big 5 roam freely. Spend three nights at Lion Sands River Lodge in the private reserve of Sabi Sands for an unforgettable experience, where exclusive game drives and bush walks provide an intimate glimpse into the natural patterns of it’s wild inhabitants.
Day 7: Pretoria
The pretty tree-lined streets of Pretoria are adorned with historic buildings and monuments, this university town is buzzing with music and sports festivals. Spend one night surrounded by the landscaped gardens and olive trees of the elegant Castello Di Monte – a palatial Tuscan Villa in the upmarket Waterkloof Ridge Suburb.
Day 8 - 10: Rovos Rail, Pretoria to Victoria Falls
Rest, relaxation and indulgence awaits as you step aboard the vintage wood-panelled coaches of Rovos Rail, where the romance of a bygone era, fine cuisine in five-star luxury, ensure this experience will be one to treasure. Travel north along one of the worlds longest stretches of straight railway line, through Zimbabwe, before stopping at Hwange National Park for an incredible safari game drive, before continuing to the incomparable Victoria Falls.
Day 11 & 12: Victoria Falls
Arrive gracefully into Victoria Falls, where the magnificence of nature is on full show. Hear the thunderous sound as the water plummets over 100 metres into the Batoka Gorge while the spray shoots skyward like billowing clouds. Stay at Elephant Camp on a private concession just 10 km from the falls and with the National Park. Enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, sundowners at Batoka Gorge, game drives, a guided tour of the falls and a falls canopy tour are all included in your stay.
Day 13: Departure
Transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight back to the UK.
