This luxury safari holiday includes three of the spectacular family-owned Time + Tide properties in Zambia. Explore the South Luangwa National Park, located in in Zambia's renowned Luangwa Valley at the edge of the Great Rift Valley. The area is known for it's large herds of elephant and buffalo, Thornicroft giraffe and prolific birdlife. Then, discover the Lower Zambezi National Park, which together with Zimbabwe's Mana Pools, forms a massive wildlife sanctuary, where predators are attracted to the valley, along with plains game and elephant herds. Crocodile and hippo dominate the waters and the numerous avian species fill the canopy of ebony and fig trees.
Day 1 & 2: South Luangwa National Park
Arrive in Lusaka and change onto your flight to Mfuwe Airport where your transfer will meet you and whisk you to Mchenja Camp. This idyllic Zambian adventure begins in the effortlessly romantic Time + Tide Mchenja, a boutique camp nestled in a shady ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River. This intimate thatched camp is visited regularly by elephants and surrounded by the sounds of baboons and monkeys in the trees. Head out of camp on day and night game drives to discover the abundance and variety of wildlife in the South Luangwa National Park.
Day 3 & 4: South Luangwa National Park
Next up, a short skip to Kakuli Camp, just along the river, where walking safaris offer an exceptionally intimate glimpse into the daily activities of the many leopards and lions here. Boating safaris offer a wonderful perspective during the emerald season, floating slowing past the herds of elephant and buffalo or the brightly coloured Carmine Bee Eaters and Lilian’s Lovebirds as they flutter overhead.
Day 5 - 8: Lower Zambezi National Park
Then, after a short flight and a boat transfer, arrive at Chongwe River Camp in the Lower Zambezi National Park, just across the river from Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools, together forming a spectacular wildlife sanctuary. A natural camp offering breath-taking views from its riverbank vantage point, complete with wildlife hide overlooking a watering hole, game drives, walking safaris, tiger fishing, canoeing and seasonal boat safaris, this is an ideal spot from which to enjoy natures splendour.
Day 9: Departure
Take your shared boat and road transfer to Jeki airstip for the schedulled flight back to Lusaka Airport and your international flight home.
