When Do You Want To Go?
Introduction
Travelling in India is an experience like no other, initially overwhelming in its chaos, it gradually reveals its uniqueness and charm. Our Classic Rajasthan itinerary has been designed to include the world-renowned sights such as the spectacular Taj Mahal, the 'pink city' Jaipur and the marble palaces and picturesque gardens of Udaipur, but also to provide a glimpse of the real India and its people, food and incredible experiences.
Day-by-Day
Day 1 - 3: Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, the capital of modern India, where our guest ambassador will assist to the private transfer to the hotel in Delhi for the next three nights. Explore the many monuments commemorating the grandeur and glory of bygone ages and the profusion of architectural styles. Explore the bustling and colourful markets of Delhi alongside a renowned chef, who will guide you though the city’s food culture, the best eateries and even pop behind the scenes into the kitchens to meet the people behind the flavours. Take a rickshaw ride on a tour of Old Delhi and spend an afternoon with a tour of New Delhi and the Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb.
Day 4: Agra
Board the morning train to Agra and visit the impressive UNESCO Heritage Agra Fort before checking into the hotel. Then visit the world-renowned monument of love - Taj Mahal, at sunset, when the marble exterior reflects rose and golden tints.
Day 5 & 6: Jaipur
Rise early to witness Taj Mahal at sunrise, a special moment to treasure. After breakfast, the drive to Jaipur includes stops at Fatehpur Sikri, the imperial city of the Mughal dynasty and the village of Abhaneri. Continue on to Jaipur, known as the ‘Pink City’ and the capital of the colourful state of Rajasthan. Visit Amber Fort for a blessing ceremony and an afternoon Jaipur city tour to see the City Palace and the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar. Wander the colourful bazaars and taste the local delicacy Kachori before a special Thali Dinner at Raj Palace.
Day 7 & 8: Udaipur
After the morning flight to Udaipur, where the marble palaces, hibiscus filled gardens and fountain pavilions make this a city like no other. Enjoy an afternoon city tour followed by an exclusive sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola, with wonderful views of the City Palace. The following day head out for an excursion to the ancient temples at Eklinji and Nagda, situated just outside Udaipur.
Day 9 & 10: Delhi
Take in the last moments of Udaipur before the flight back to Delhi. On the last night in Delhi, enjoy the Chef’s Tasting Menu Dinner at the award-winning Indian Accent, a showcase of inventive Indian cuisine and the perfect way to end this incredible trip.
